TouchPoint 360 Announces Completion of Ravenna, Nebraska, True Value Remodel

TouchPoint 360 announces the completion of the Paint Department remodel of the Wilke-Donovan True Value store in Ravenna, NE.

Larry and Lloyd Wilke of Wilke-Donovan True Value were the winners of the $35,000 Paint Department Remodel Grand Prize awarded by True Value at the October 2007 True Value Fall Show.  With their winnings, Larry and Lloyd purchased a new eight-foot inline Color Display Center, five-gallon paint shaker/paint tinting machine, 16-feet of paint counter, 42 four-foot Lozier gondola sections, and heavy duty racking. In addition, 50 pre-existing units were to be de-merchandised and re-merchandised. The services of Touchpoint 360 were engaged to complete the remodel project.

Upon being awarded the remodel project, TouchPoint 360 was notified that the Ravenna, NE remodel was a high priority reset and that True Value would have two members of their corporate staff on-site.  Joe Tang, the True Value Global Merchant for Paint, and Randy Erwin, the True Value Paint Department Planogrammer, were assigned and present during the remodel and worked with TouchPoint 360 Project Manager Jeff Fushia.

To complete the store, TouchPoint 360 used a new labor model created by Mike McElligott and the TouchPoint 360 Home Center Division.  The Critical Path Process was used to create a workflow schedule using one TouchPoint 360 Project Manger and six local temporary laborers.  By the end of the remodel, TouchPoint 360 had completed the remodel 20% ahead of schedule, using 36% fewer hours than the allotment. This success was due to the partnership and communication between True Value and TouchPoint 360 prior to the remodel project.
